About This Song
Behold the Lamb follows the One announced beside the Jordan all the way to the cross. Its verses hold together His compassion for the wounded and His willing journey into suffering. Drawing on Isaiah 53 and the Gospel accounts, the song names the cost of reconciliation: the innocent One bears sin to bring the lost home.
The torn veil and the declaration that His work is finished give the final movement its meaning. The dance production serves a confession of mercy, not a denial of suffering. In Christ’s wounds we find forgiveness and restoration to God; the lyric is not a guarantee that every present illness disappears.

Drawing Near Through His Sacrifice
Read Isaiah 53:4–6 and Hebrews 10:19–22. We do not come to God because we have finally made ourselves worthy. Jesus opens the way through His own sacrifice, and Hebrews invites us to draw near with sincere hearts and full assurance of faith.
The cross exposes the seriousness of sin and the depth of God’s mercy at the same time. First Peter 2:24 connects Christ’s wounds with dying to sin and living for righteousness. His healing reaches our estrangement from God and calls us into a changed life, even while we still face bodily weakness and grief.
Bring a specific burden of guilt before Him. Confess it without excuse, trust His finished work, and take the next faithful step in obedience. Forgiveness is not indifference to evil; it is costly grace received through the Lamb.
Prayer: Holy Lamb of God, thank You for bearing our sin. Teach me to draw near in faith and live in the mercy You have given. Amen.
