About This Song
Dry Bones Rise drops the listener straight into Ezekiel's valley: a landscape of death where hope looked finished. Then the word of the Lord comes down — and bone snaps to bone, breath moves through the dust, and a dead valley stands up as an army. Set to a driving techno pulse, the song is a prophecy over every dead place in a life, a family, a nation: what was dead will rise again when the breath of God moves.
Devotional
God asked Ezekiel a question He still asks us: "Son of man, can these bones live?" Everything visible said no. Ezekiel gave the only honest answer: "Sovereign LORD, You alone know."
Then God did something strange — He didn't raise the bones Himself. He told Ezekiel to prophesy to them. To speak the word of the Lord over what was dead. The resurrection came through the speaking.
There are valleys in every life that look beyond hope — a marriage, a calling, a prodigal, a church. God's question is not whether you feel life there. It is whether you will keep speaking His word over it.
Reflect: What have you stopped praying for because it looks too dead? Hear the word of the Lord — and say it out loud over that valley today.
Lyrics
[Intro] Valley of silence, where hope looked dead The word of the Lord came down Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord [Hook] Bone to bone, breath to breath Life is moving through the dust again Bone to bone, breath to breath What was dead will rise again [Verse 1] I was standing in the valley where the shadows had no name All around were broken pieces that cried out in shame But He spoke into the silence, and the ground began to shake When the voice of heaven thundered, every grave began to break [Pre-Chorus] This is the fire — burn, let it glow This is the fire — burn, let the Spirit blow Hear the word, hear the word, hear the word of the Lord Hear the word, hear the word, hear the word of the Lord [Chorus] Breath of God, breath of God, come from the four winds Breath of God, breath of God, let the dead live again By the voice that speaks, by the power of the Lord Most High By the voice that speaks, by the power of the Lord Most High [Verse 2] There is thunder in the desert, there is fire in the ground There is glory in the ashes when the King is moving now Every chain begins to tremble, every fear begins to fall When the Spirit starts to breathe again, the dead can hear the call [Bridge] Bone to bone, stand again Heart to heart, burn again Breath to breath, live again Army of God, rise again (repeat) Rise, rise, rise — by the power of the Lord [Word — Ezekiel 37] "Thus says the Lord GOD to the four winds: O breath, breathe on these slain, that they may live." And the breath came into them, and they stood on their feet — an exceedingly great army. [Outro] Let the breath of God move What was buried will bloom, what was dead will be new Rise up, rise up, rise up — from the valley into life Rise up, rise up, rise up — in the name of the Lord We are standing in the army of God Dry bones rise
