About This Song
I Exalt Thee gathers the language of throne, creation, resurrection, and surrender into a direct song of adoration. The verses name why Jesus is worthy: He is holy, faithful, mighty, seated on the throne, and risen as King. The bridge draws the worshipper closer—from declaring truth about Christ to gladly falling at His feet. The short chorus then becomes a personal response to everything the verses have confessed: “I exalt Thee, O Lord.”
Devotional
“Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy” (Psalm 99:5).
To exalt God does not make Him greater; He is already above all. Exaltation changes our posture. We lift our view of Him above fear, self-importance, distraction, and every rival claim on our worship.
Jesus is worthy not only because He is mighty, but because the risen King is also the Lamb of God. Power and sacrificial love meet in Him. Bowing at His feet is therefore not humiliation before cruelty; it is glad surrender before perfect holiness and mercy.
Reflect: Which truth about Jesus do you most need to lift before your own heart today—His holiness, faithfulness, power, resurrection, or love? Name it, dwell on it, and let worship become your response.
