About This Song
I wrote “Lead Me Everlasting” for my wife. Like many of us, she can find herself caught in an anxious state — the mind racing, the fears pulling close. This song is a prayer I wanted to place in her heart and on her lips: a way to sing to the Lord and invite Him to search her, quiet the anxious thoughts, and lead her in the way everlasting. It is built on the prayer of Psalm 139:23–24 — “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.” My hope is that whenever the weight comes, she — and anyone who carries the same struggle — can turn this into worship, and let God's peace lead the way.

Most of us are experts at hiding — even from ourselves. We curate what others see, and quietly avoid the rooms of our own hearts we would rather not enter. Psalm 139 ends with a braver prayer: search me. Not “fix my circumstances” or “bless my plans,” but “know my heart, test my anxious thoughts, see what bends me, see what breaks.” It is a dangerous prayer only if we forget who is doing the searching: a Father who already knows every hidden place and loves us still. Today, invite Him past the curated version of you. Let Him name the fear, take the pride, and set the course straight. The way He leads is not merely the right way — it is the everlasting one.
