About This Song

Names Above All Names is a litany turned into a dance floor anthem. Scripture never gives us one name for God — it gives us dozens, because no single word can hold Him. Elohim the Creator, El Shaddai the all-sufficient, Jehovah Jireh the provider, Jehovah Rapha the healer — and above them all, the name given to the Son: Jesus. This song simply does what the church has always done: it names Him, name after name, until fear has nothing left to say.

Devotional

In Scripture, a name is not a label — it is a revelation of character. When God tells Moses "I AM WHO I AM," He is saying: whatever you need, I already am.

That is why this song stacks name upon name. Jehovah Jireh — when you lack. Jehovah Rapha — when you're sick. Jehovah Nissi — when you're at war. Jehovah Shalom — when you can't rest. Every name is a promise you can stand on.

And then Philippians 2 tells us God exalted Jesus and gave Him "the name that is above every name." Every knee will bow to it. Every tongue will confess it.
