About This Song
Stronger Together, Vol. 1 is a different kind of release: a training compilation made for GotYourSix Community Fitness (gy6cf.co.za) — the community fitness box where the writer trains. Twelve inspirational, uplifting tracks built for a workout, climbing steadily from 120 BPM at the warm-up to 148 BPM at the final push, before We Rise Together brings it home at 108. The titles carry the box's whole philosophy: no one trains alone, community builds strength, your mind quits first, finish what you started. It is training music with a backbone — because iron sharpens iron, and we are stronger together.
Devotional
"Two are better than one... though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken" (Ecclesiastes 4:9–12). That is the truth every community fitness box discovers on the gym floor: the rep you cannot do alone, you somehow finish when your people are shouting you on.
Scripture is not shy about training imagery. "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another" (Proverbs 27:17). Paul reaches for the athlete again and again: "Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us" (Hebrews 12:1) — and notice, it is *us*, a race run surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses.
Physical training profits some, Paul says, but training in godliness profits in every way (1 Timothy 4:8). The discipline learned under the bar — showing up, one more rep, finishing what you started — is the same muscle faith uses.
Reflect: Who is in your corner when you want to quit — and whose corner are you in? Find your people, in the gym and in the faith. No one trains alone.
