From the album The sound of victory
About This Song
Walls Come Down marches to the rhythm of Jericho: seven days of silent circles, a fortress no man could move, and a victory already spoken by heaven before a single stone fell. The song turns that ancient march into a four-on-the-floor declaration — not by power, not by might, but by His Spirit. When the shout goes through the sky, strongholds fall.
Devotional
Jericho's walls did not fall to a battering ram. They fell to obedience that looked like foolishness: march in silence, circle the city, and on the seventh day — shout.
God often asks His people to keep circling long after it feels pointless. Day four looks exactly like day one. The wall doesn't crack an inch until the moment it collapses entirely. Faith is measured in the laps nobody sees.
And notice: the shout came before the wall fell, not after. God's people praised the victory while the fortress still stood.
Reflect: What stronghold has you stuck on lap four? Don't stop circling. Lift the shout in advance — the Lord has already given you the city.
Lyrics
[Verse 1] Jericho stood locked in fear With walls no man could move But the Lord had given the promise And His people walked in truth [Pre-Chorus] March around, hold the line Lift your faith, wait for the sign Seven days, seven times When the trumpet cries, the walls come down [Verse 2] We stood before the fortress With the promise in our hands No sword could break the stone apart No power of mortal man But heaven had already spoken The battle was the Lord's So we walk by faith in silence Trusting only in His word [Pre-Chorus 2] Not by power, not by might But by Your Spirit we will fight Not by fear, not by doubt At Your word we lift the shout [Chorus] Round and round we march by faith Round and round we wait and pray Round and round we hold the ground at Your command The walls come down, down, down At the name of the Lord Most High, watch them come down When the shout goes through the sky, drop the sound We are marching in the victory tonight [Verse 3] There's a stronghold in the valley There are giants at the gate There are voices saying "turn around" There are lies that speak our shame But our God is a fortress Fire in the night With a shout of holy thunder We will walk into the light [Bridge] Step by step, we follow You Breath by breath, Your word is true Day by day, we circle round at Your command One time around — faith is rising now Three times around — fear is losing ground Seven times around — lift the sound, a shout to the Lord The walls come down, down, down [Word — Joshua 6] And the people shouted when the trumpets sounded They lifted up a great shout, and the wall fell down flat For the LORD had given them the city [Outro] March around, hold the line Trumpets cry, heaven sounds Shout His name, the walls come down In the name of Jesus, the walls come down Rise from the sound, let the praise of heaven rise Walls come down — we are marching in the victory tonight
