About This Song
You Are Worthy of Our Praise begins in the quiet hours when worry can feel loudest. Rather than pretending that fear has disappeared, the opening verse answers it with the nearness of God and the steadiness of His promises. The movement from “I trust in You” to “We will bless You” turns a personal confession into a shared expression of worship.
The repeated “Holy, holy, holy” echoes the worship of heaven in Revelation 4:8. God is worthy of praise not because our circumstances are easy, but because He is holy, faithful, and true. The second verse leaves tomorrow's path unseen while trusting Him for today's strength.
The bridge holds loss and gain together without suggesting that faith guarantees comfort. Earthly hopes change; God's faithful love endures. The final, quiet line brings the song back to a simple confession: His goodness is not temporary, and our praise need not depend on what tomorrow brings.
Devotional
Read Revelation 4:8–11, Psalm 46:1–3, and Lamentations 3:22–24.
What do you reach for when worry interrupts your rest? Often we try to find certainty by thinking further ahead, as though enough planning could remove every unknown. Scripture offers a different foundation: God is our refuge and strength, present with us in trouble. His presence does not make every road visible, but it means we do not face that road alone.
In Revelation 4, the worship of heaven centres on who God is. He is holy, eternal, and worthy. When we join that confession, we are not denying our difficulties. We are remembering that they do not define Him. Our fears are real, but they are not our Lord.
Lamentations speaks of fresh mercies from within deep sorrow. Hope in God's faithfulness is therefore not a promise that nothing will hurt. It is confidence that His compassion has not run out. In Jesus Christ, crucified and risen, we see a love that meets suffering and a hope stronger than death.
Today, name one concern honestly before God. Ask for the strength to take the next faithful step rather than demanding to see the whole journey. Let praise become an expression of trust: “You are faithful, You are true.” Worship belongs to Him in both loss and gain.
Prayer: Holy God, You alone are worthy of our worship. When fear grows loud, help me remember Your truth. Thank You for Your mercy in Jesus Christ. Give me strength for today, trust for what I cannot see, and a heart that praises You in every season. Amen.
