“Sing to the LORD, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day” (Psalm 96:2).
Praise is often delayed by the thought that life must first become easier. Yet Scripture teaches us to notice God’s goodness in the day already given. Breath, food, shelter, companionship, and the chance to begin again are not small when they are received as mercy.
The strongest reason to sing is the gospel. Christ sought us while we were guilty, bore our sin at the cross, and rose in victory over death. Christian joy does not deny tears or hardship; it remembers that neither has the final word. Jesus has brought freedom and living hope.
Reflect: Which ordinary gift have you hurried past today? Thank God for it, then let gratitude lead you again to the greater gift of salvation in Christ.
