About This Release
From Garden to Dawn tells the oldest story ever told — the arrest, the road, the cross and the empty tomb — but through three pairs of eyes that were actually there, and that most of us have never stopped to consider. Three witnesses. One unfolding story. The first is Malchus, servant of the high priest, who came into Gethsemane carrying chains and left carrying a question: why would a prisoner heal the man who came to bind Him? The second is Simon of Cyrene, a pilgrim who came to Jerusalem to offer a sacrifice and instead walked beside One. The third is a Roman soldier ordered to guard a sealed tomb — a man trained to believe that everything can be controlled by iron, fear or death, until the third watch of the night proved him wrong. None of the three volunteered. Each was pulled into the story against his will — and each walked away changed. That is how grace tends to work: it stands in the road, it takes hold of the unwilling, and it turns bystanders into witnesses. From the dark of the garden to the light of the dawn, this is one story — and it is still calling for witnesses today.
Devotional
"Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!" (Luke 24:5–6).
The story that runs from Gethsemane to the empty tomb is crowded with people who never asked to be there. Malchus was following orders. Simon was passing by. The guard was on duty. Yet Scripture remembers each one — because the story of Jesus does not only happen in front of people; it happens to them.
Across these three songs, watch one thread: no one stays neutral. The servant is healed by the man he came to arrest. The pilgrim discovers the cross he carries is actually carrying him. The soldier lays down Caesar's coin because he cannot un-see the dawn. When people meet Jesus — truly meet Him — they walk away restored, carried, or converted. Never unchanged.
Reflect: Which witness are you? The one still holding chains, the one under a load you did not choose, or the one guarding a silence God has already broken? From garden to dawn, the risen Christ is still turning bystanders into witnesses. Let Him have your story too.
