About This Release
The King of Glory is four a cappella Scripture anthems — no instruments, only voices, the way the church has sung for centuries. Each track sets a throne-room passage of Scripture almost word for word: the gates lifting their heads for the King (Psalm 24), the seraphim crying holy (Isaiah 6), heaven's song to the Lamb who was slain (Revelation 5), and every knee bowing at the name of Jesus (Philippians 2). Nothing added, nothing needed — the Word of God, sung.
Devotional
Before there were instruments in the temple, there were voices. When Paul told the church to sing "psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit" (Colossians 3:16), he said the goal was to let the message of Christ dwell among us richly.
That is what these four anthems do. They don't paraphrase Scripture — they carry it. Psalm 24 at the gates. Isaiah 6 before the throne. Revelation 5 around the Lamb. Philippians 2 at the name of Jesus. Four rooms in the same palace, and every one of them ends at the feet of the King.
Reflect: Try listening to one anthem with the Bible passage open in front of you. Let the Word do the singing.
